All about ideas…

I never thought Geo. Will would agree with me!

George Will, conservative oar excellance, wrote in his latest Washington Post article that he doesn’t think John McCain has the temperament to be President. I’ve been saying that same thing for quite some time.

After reading all I could about his life and his decisions as a Senator, I came to the firm conclusion that John McCain is impulsive, rash, antagonistic, and imprudent. He goes with his first “gut” reaction and be damned the consequences. He holds grudges and is ready to swing on those whom he thinks may have maligned him. He is neither thoughtful or self-reflective, causing him not to think about the potential consequences of his actions. While he will admit over considerable time has passed that he’s made a mistake, he doesn’t have the ability to reflect upon why he made the mistake or on how to keep from a similar mistake. He believes he is always right, and anyone who argues against his stand is totally wrong. He is incapable of seeing another’s point of view and even less capable of diplomacy and negotiation. He’s often brash, rude, and all to ready to call out the military.

Just because he is a Republican does not mean that he should be President of the United States, especially now at a time when we are threatened economically and in our international relations.

We need a President who is capable of thoughtful, reflective, sound judgment. Not someone who suddenly flies off the handle, grasping at his first gut reaction and declaring it the only answer to any question.

If George Will agrees with me that Sen. Obama should be President rather than John McCain, then I know I was right in my conclusion that John McCain should not ever be hired at President.

  1. Amazing huh! George Will is smart, educated, thoughtful – but was born with a conservative brain – poor guy. No thinking person could be for McCain/Palin any more.

Now when the rabid right columnist Thomas Sowell (african-american, too) comes out for Obama I will then know we’ve made a true dent. I’m not holding my breath though.
